A Fireproof LexiWynn

This is for Bill! Happy Memorial Day, thanks for your service as a fireman!

A while back, Bill called the LexiWynn workroom and proposed we build his wife a custom LexiWynn handbag from his retired fire coat. Always open to a fun project we talked through purse styles and made arrangements for his coat to make's it way from Alabama to our Libertyville workroom.

Our Process:
1st a visit to our Cutting Department:
Bill's Fire Coat...
Our Personal Shopper Guide...

Cut
A heavy duty brass zipper

#2 Pre-Sewing on our Industrial Straight Stitch Machines. 1500 watt servo motors and 46lb nylon thread  equal a high quality bag (of course handmade in the USA too!)

Yes that is quilted Nomex lining... Fireproof LexiWynn!
Pockets, Labels and Zippers get placed in "pre-sewing"
#3 Then it is on to Sewing.  Our Industrial Walking Foot Machines using 69lb Nylon thread are used in this stage of our process.
I spy that Bill picked our Adrienne for Stephanie's bag... Cool!

High night time visibility!
Thick thread, a big fat "blade" needle and a strong motor required!

Careful sewing from an experienced Operator too...
