Mary Tierney's Sassy Girl

Wow! What an amazing opportunity we recently had to expand our global presence!  Dina Jackson is our administrator in our Libertyville workroom.  Her husband’s cousin, Mary Tierney, was visiting from County Galway, Ireland.  That’s right, I said Ireland!  Mary was very excited to visit the LexiWynn workroom and design a purse of her own.

We are excited to show you the finished product!  Mary chose to design a Sassy Girl - take a look at the pictures!  If you’re ever in Ireland, maybe you’ll see Mary walking around with her LexiWynn on her shoulder.

P.S. We are also very excited about our new HTML coding for picture slideshows - no more long blog posts.  Enjoy!

Design Consultant Spotlight: Mary Catherine Musick

Mary Catherine Musick is one of Nashville’s LexiWynn Design Consultants.  Her husband, Ben, and her are Nashville natives, and they have a wonderful son, Oliver.   She is a former ballet dancer and currently teaches dance at a school in Nashville.  Mary Catherine is also a singer and has had the opportunity to have some wonderful performing experiences in her hometown. Her husband is a guitar player and she has had the pleasure of performing with him on stage a time or two as well!

Mary Catherine first saw a LexiWynn bag last year when Alexa’s parents came to visit her family in Nashville.  Alexa's mother was carrying a distressed leather bag that Mary Catherine was DYING for, and she also brought a silver crocodile clutch lined with hot pink suede as a gift for Mary Catherine's mother.   Almost immediately, she contacted Alexa about designing her own diaper bag.

Over the next few months, she found myself visiting our website and Facebook page quite frequently; checking out the latest styles and pictures of purses from parties.  Her mother would call her at least once a week saying, “have you SEEN that little clutch on Alexa’s website???”  They were hooked on LexiWynn, and were so excited to see what the future held for her cousin (yep, Alexa and Mary Catherine are cousins!) and her amazing business.

She joined the LexiWynn family at the beginning of 2012.  She called Seth last fall to chat with him about the possibility of becoming a design consultant.   After a few conversations, she couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming need to get involved with LexiWynn.  "Not only is LexiWynn’s approach to designing your own handbag uniquely original, but also they are committed to creating the highest quality product and to helping everyone involved achieve the ultimate success," she thought.

Mary Catherine would love to book a party with you and help you create a perfect, one of a kind handbag.  Please give her a call or send her an email to hear more about the LexiWynn story and to find out how to get your own!

Design Consultant Spotlight: Molly Fivelson

Molly is a stay at home mom of three children, Ari, Sydney, and Camryn.  She and her husband live in Gilberts, IL with their three beautiful children.

While picking up her son from school one day last year, she commented to a friend about how much she loved her purse.  She told Molly about this great company that actually allowed you to custom design your own handbags.  This is when Molly was first introduced to LexiWynn.  She loved her friend’s purse and asked how she too could host a party.  She was so impressed with the variety of purse styles and fabrics.  Immediately Molly fell in love with the purses and the process of designing one.  After a month of torture, waiting for her bag to arrive, she was so happy with the outcome!  Between the quality and the fabric, she was beyond happy with her bag.  Five months later, she suggested that another friend have a party.  As Molly became more familiar with LexiWynn and our products, she began realizing that she would love to share this experience with other people.  She came to the Libertyville workroom to meet Seth and learn the production process.  Molly knew that it was the right fit for her.  She fell in love with the purses first, then the design process, and eventually the entire LexiWynn family.

If you are interested in hosting a party or learning a little more about LexiWynn, please feel free to email Molly!

Design Consultant Spotlight: Tara Rouse

It’s simple really. What woman on earth doesn’t love a great purse? Better yet, who wouldn’t love the opportunity to be their own designer? Well, LexiWynn offers this truly unique experience to anyone that has the desire.

Tara fell in love with LexiWynn one night while attending a party hosted by a close friend of hers.  She had gone to the party not expecting to find a product that she would become so engrossed with, but rather to support a friend’s endeavor. When this party was over and she had received her purse, it was clear that she would soon be hosting a party of her own.  She put the call in to Angie, the Design Consultant, and away they went.  It was a large party full of people, fabrics, food and fun and Tara could see by the reactions of her friends and family that this was something that could easily draw a crowd.  After the purses arrived and she began to deliver them, it was obvious that everyone wanted to do this again.  So, another call to Angie was made and another, even larger, party was in the works. Now, Tara lives on the east side of Washington State and Angie lives on the west side.  This party had been planned during the winter months and the pass between them was not going to make for an enjoyable drive for Angie.  It was looking as though they might have to cancel, but LexiWynn came through and the entire design kit was shipped to Tara so that the party could go on.  In this way, she was given a very crash course into the life of a Design Consultant.  She had a few phone calls with Seth and just like that it was in the works.  The east side of the state needed a Consultant of its own and Tara was more than willing to fill the role.  Since that day she has been planning and putting on parties to the excitement and fulfillment of women with all kinds of fantastic design ideas of their own.  This really is the best part, with the options and fabrics available, she has yet to see any two purses that are alike and she has yet to have a disappointed customer but rather usually find that most women are anticipating their next design.

Tara has been married to her husband for six years and they have two beautiful boys.  Nolan is nearly four and Mason is almost two.  They live in the beautiful Columbia River basin in Kennewick, WA. The Tri-Cities, as it is more commonly known, is a very fast growing and young community, perfect for LexiWynn. They have great summer weather and the massive Columbia River as a backdrop. You’ll often find huge crowds down on the banks or walking through the Farmer’s Markets, any of which are great opportunities to flaunt your one of a kind LexiWynn design.

Tara is very proud and excited to be a member of something so unique and satisfying.  She also finds comfort knowing that LexiWynn is MADE IN THE USA.  It is a great product of incomparable quality.  She can’t wait to host your party next.  Contact Tara, or a Design Consultant close to you, for a great experience.

Design Consultant Spotlight: Carrie Giordano

"I can honestly say that I started my involvement with LexiWynn as an addiction.  I was so excited when I walked into my first party, hosted by now design consultant and friend Jodi Kristopher.  I was in awe at the amazing styles of bags and fabrics in front of me.  I had so much fun playing with fabrics and designing the perfect bag for me…the first of many to come!  It didn’t take long before I had a collection of bags for myself and had given many as gifts!  I couldn’t get enough."

Just about the time Carrie and her family decided to relocate to the East Coast, Alexa and Seth were beginning to expand the LexiWynn business plan and launch it nationally.  Carrie has told us many times how excited she was about this decision!  Naturally, she was inspired to bring LexiWynn to the East Coast to help Alexa and Seth grow the LexiWynn business.  Carrie says that it has been so much fun watching this fantastic business that started as a hobby in the basement of their home to a nationally known business.  She has had the opportunity to watch Alexa work her magic with her keen eye for design and to hear Seth excitedly discuss the business plan for LexiWynn with passion and drive.  Selfishly of course, she would still have access to these wonderful bags and the creative process and also be able to share them with all of her new friends!

It has been very exciting for us to work with Carrie and to see LexiWynn custom bags on the arms of people in the North East, and it has only just begun!  If you are in the Northeast and would like to experience LexiWynn, feel free to email her at carrie@lexiwynn.com.

Design Consultant Spotlight: Heather Stramandinoli

While out walking with an old friend, Heather learned about the company her friend was working for part-time, where you design your own handbags.  A few steps later, without even knowing the full LexiWynn story, Heather jumped at the chance to host a party.  "The basic idea alone sounded terrific – who doesn’t want a handbag that is made just for them to fit their needs?" she thought.

Three weeks into this new friendship, she was hosting a party and totally hooked.  She told us that the positive energy and enthusiasm that filled her house as all her friends created a bag exactly how they wanted it, down to the last interior pocket was such a thrill for her.  When the box of purses from the party arrived a few weeks later, she felt like Santa Claus on Christmas morning bringing that “one” gift that they had been totally wishing for.

For the past 12 years Heather has been a 3rd and 4th grade elementary school teacher.  She have always known that she was never meant to sit behind a desk without constantly transitioning from one activity to the next, which was why teaching children was the perfect match.  Years ago, along with teaching, she had her own little side business that allowed her to be creative and make a product that was one of a kind.  That creative business got put to the back burner once her two children arrived Olivia (now almost 5) and Will (2).  Today, she still teaches active children all day and then comes home to enjoy her own.  However, she felt like a piece of the creative side of her was missing.

Again, while walking with the same friends just a few months later she offered to host another LexiWynn party.  They pulled it off with just 15 days notice and again the excitement, energy and creativity just got her.  This was what she was missing – being creative.  She shared with her husband the night after the LexiWynn party that she was thinking about being a Design Consultant.  He saw the creative spark that she had said she was missing.  So, she signed on with Seth and Alexa and couldn’t be more excited for this new creative adventure.  Like she said, “Who doesn’t want a handbag that is totally made just for them?”

If you would like to experience the creative energy and excitement of LexiWynn in Connecticut, please feel free to contact Heather at her email (heather@lexiwynn.com) or 203-249-8836.  She looks forward to helping you design your very own custom LexiWynn!

Design Consultant Spotlight: Caroline Lee

Caroline Lee is a LexiWynn Design Consultant living in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband and two children – Elizabeth and Seth.  She joined our family in 2012.

Seth and Alexa first met Caroline in 1996 when she was a senior in high school.  Seth and Alexa were leading a Young Life Campaigners that she had been invited to attend.

Seth and Caroline were reconnected in 2010 via Facebook.  They enjoyed the opportunity to update each other on their lives and the amazing things that had been happening.  Seth shared with Caroline the adventure that he and Alexa had embarked on – LexiWynn.  He said that there was an interest in expanding to Nashville, but she said that she would have to think about it.  She was uncertain about the “party” element of the business.  Caroline stuck to her word and six months later got in contact with him.  One of her beloved purses had ripped and she was in need of a replacement.  She knew exactly what she wanted and that she wanted a bag made in the United States.

Like many of our design consultants say, Caroline was amazed by Seth’s excitement about LexiWynn - it was extremely contagious.  Caroline had never heard of a product party where you had the opportunity to design the product you were purchasing.  She told us that she could not wait to start, to feel the fabrics, to see each bag.  She too was confident that Nashville would be a great place to have a custom purse company.  “Made in America” is something that everyone wants to see on the products they buy.

If you live in the Nashville area and are interested in LexiWynn, designing your own purse or hosting a party, or have any questions whatsoever, please email Caroline at caroline@lexiwynn.com.
